Today we celebrate the feast of St. Norbert of Xanten, a German Catholic bishop, Archbishop of Magdeburg, and founder of the Premonstratensian Order. Born into nobility, he abandoned his lavish life for poverty and preaching, and is remembered for his defense of the Eucharist.
Today we celebrate St. Boniface, the "Apostle of Germany," who courageously spread the Gospel across Europe and helped strengthen the early Church.
His legacy lives on through generations of Catholics, including many German immigrants who helped build the Church in New York.
