Last year, Reuters newsroom discovered that a video shared during Cyclone Idai had been shot in Libya 5 years earlier. They’ve developed an online course on detecting manipulated media (vids, photos), to help sift fact from fake. Found it useful

When it comes to our live events video productions, sound and lighting are very key components besides the high-resolution cameras we use. No matter how good you’re on a camera or the amount of good shoots, without out good lighting and audio the production will range around 50%.
