The Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners held its annual officer elections on June 11. Commissioner Leslie Ruffing was re-elected Board President and Commissioner Rhonda Ansier was re-elected Vice President, each beginning a second term in their respective leadership roles. Marissa Kula was re-appointed Board Secretary, and Tricia Dubiel was re-appointed Board Treasurer.

Centennial Beach will be CLOSED on Thursday, June 11th for cleanup of tree damage from the recent storm. The Beach is expected to reopen on Friday, June 12th. In addition to Centennial Beach, several parks experienced damage from the storm. Naperville Park District maintenance teams will work over the next several days to address downed trees and limbs at parks throughout the community.

Help us celebrate the ribbon cutting of not one, but TWO new playgrounds! Tomorrow, Tues., June 2 we will be cutting the ribbon on the new Kroehler Park playground at 4:30 pm followed by another ribbon cutting at nearby West Greens at 5:00 pm. Light refreshments will be available.
A special shout out goes to Illinois State Representative Janet Yang Rohr for her support of a DCEO grant that helped to fund this project.
