PSA: OSINT is geolocating a tank from satellite imagery or scrubbing hundreds of public documents for relevant facts. SLOPINT (Scraped, Lifted, Other-people's Posts as INTelligence) involves scrolling some 400 follower account on social media, bookmarking or screenshotting their post, and filing it as your own reporting or throwing their content into a monetized youtube video. Two very different jobs.

Iran launched multiple one-way attack drones in an attempt to strike commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces have downed all of them in recent hours as traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded. The international trade corridor remains open for transit.

What were people expecting, a press release confirming they loaded $3B onto a plane for Iran?
The United Arab Emirates “categorically denied” reports alleging the transfer of funds from the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran, “including allegations concerning $3 billion.” In a statement, the UAE’s Foreign Ministry said these allegations “are entirely false and unfounded, stressing that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or facilitated through the UAE.”

Trump: The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have nothing to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing. Very dishonorable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith.
Iranian media outlet Mehr, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team, published what it says are new details from the 14-point draft Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Iran: 1. An immediate and permanent halt to fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon. 2. A U.S. pledge not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs. 3. Lifting of the maritime blockade within 30 days. 4. A U.S. commitment to withdraw forces from areas around Iran. 5. reopening the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian arrangements. 6. Suspending sanctions on Iranian oil, petrochemical products and related revenues, and making Iranian financial resources fully accessible. 7. The U.S. and its allies will present reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300 billion. 8. 60 days of negotiations toward a final agreement covering nuclear issues, full sanctions relief, reconstruction of Iran’s economy, and the fate of enriched material and enrichment. 9. An Iranian commitment not to produce nuclear weapons. 10. During the negotiations, the U.S. will not to increase its forces in the region or impose new sanctions. 11. The release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds during the 60-day negotiation period, with half made available before talks begin. 12. Establishing a monitoring mechanism to implement the agreement. 13. 1The final agreement will be approved by a UN Security Council resolution. 14. The final negotiations will not begin before the release of half of Iran's frozen funds, the suspension of Iran's oil sanctions, and the lifting of the naval blockade. The final agreement will be made solely on the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, the lifting of sanctions, and the Iranian economic reconstruction program. According to Mehr, the draft excludes Iran’s missile program and support for “resistance groups” from the agenda, Mehr adds that the text still requires review and final approval by the relevant Iranian institutions.

The enthusiasm for bringing back the C-17 line lasts exactly until Boeing hands Congress and international FMS customers the bill for tooling and non-recurring engineering costs.
Restarting C-17 production would be a VERY smart move by @Boeing

Iran denies the existence of an agreement; Israel says no such agreement exists.

"The most valuable thing you can own is not the perfect system. It is the ability to change your mind cheaply. Against a threat that re-rolls every few months, adaptability is the weapon, and the interceptor is just ammunition. Nobody asks what it cost the morning after. They ask whether the base is still standing". ⬇️

A lot of us assumed the Standard Missile was permanent, that it would keep evolving and never really be replaced. The FY2027 budget is the first solid sign that a successor could be coming. ⬇️ x.com/NatSecLedger/status/20…

Buried in thousands of pages of Navy budget justification is a quiet first. After more than half a century, the Standard Missile may finally be getting a successor.

I don't know why, but I keep expecting him to look Amanpour dead in the eye and say, "Let's dry-age this peace treaty for 45 days."
Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun says Iran is not allowed to interfere in his country’s internal affairs: “Other countries are trying to help us, but you are not trying to help us. You are destroying the country for the sake of your own interests.”

Coordinated with Trump or not, Bibi made the right decision to retaliate against Iran. Israel can’t have Iran think that attacks against Israel will become the new norm when Israel is fighting Hezbollah or any other Iran proxy
