There are those who go to the field once a month (like myself), then there are those who really get the work done who spend sunrise to sunset, rain, shine, hot or cold… all thier time in the field. Thank you to all the linemen and linewomen out there! #LinemanAppreciationDay

I got a super small taste years ago of the stress and work you put in… and even just that small taste further deepend my appreciation and respect. #LinemanAppreciationDay

Same here…
I’m starting to think USB-C plugs in outlets is a disaster waiting to happen…

Sub here in LA this morning. Events like this stress the need of inspections, a way to monitor for issues live, and proper settings on relays to detect and clear faults. Even with all this events like this can still happen but likelihood and impact are substantially reduced.

If you are bored this weekend the Audubon Insititue could use your help! Data helps scientists calculate the decline in habitable ecosystems and bird populations. Sam and I just did a survey of a state park. #gbbc birdcount.org/?utm_campaign=…

Around 8,000 mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, and grandparents have departed this life. Seeing the images from Turkey and Syria are absolutely heart breaking. πŸ™ 😒.

Very interesting… someone voted that I should accept. πŸ€”
Reviewing a paper and I have a problem… as much as I’m not a fan of the ICS acronym, I am really not a fan of it meaning two separate things in the same context. Paper is saying ICS = industrial communication system. If merit of paper is somewhat sound what would ya do?

So cool watching these power lines shake the ice off. #Engineering #powergrid
When lines ice up β€”Β like they did in southwestern Manitoba this week β€” we have a number of ways to clean it off. This is what ice melting looks like. We create a short, the line heats up, and the ice falls off. Crews in the icy southwest will be de-icing this weekend. Drive safe!

It appears there is hardly any use of c=communication other than this publication from 2013.

Please join us in prayer for this incredible man! Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of Pope Benedict XVI, rest in peace. Amen.

I have a feeling we will be both amazed and disappointed in the power grid as temperatures continue to drop across the country. Particularly here in the south. πŸ™s we dont see another ERCOT repeat and for all the linemen and engineers working to keep the electrons flowing.
