This morning at the #NANSaturdayActionRally, PONAN Rev. Al Sharpton spoke about the difference between faith and hope and why faith must be accompanied by action. He discussed the state of our nation, the importance of protecting our right to vote as early voting begins in NYC, and why civic engagement remains critical in this moment. He also shared updates on National Action Network's new House of Justice, our continued fight for equality and economic justice, and the upcoming March on Washington in August as we continue organizing for the challenges ahead. These are not ordinary times, and they require ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Watch the full message on National Action Network's YouTube and Facebook pages, and join us every Saturday at 9am ET. instagram.com/reel/DZiP6FBFb…

Though weather conditions prevented me from joining in person, I was honored to deliver the keynote address virtually at the 2026 Rainbow PUSH Coalition Convention under the leadership of Yusef Jackson. As we celebrate the enduring legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson, we are reminded that the fight for justice, equality, voting rights, and economic opportunity is far from over. His life's work helped transform this nation and inspired generations of leaders, including myself. We must continue to carry that torch forward with the same courage, conviction, and commitment that Rev. Jackson has demonstrated throughout his life. The mission remains. The struggle remains. And together, we PUSH forward.

On my way to speak at the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference in Hampton, Virginia. The Conference is one of the nation’s most historic and influential gatherings of clergy, faith leaders, and changemakers. The conference has been shaping ministry, leadership, and the Black church for generations, and I’m looking forward to participating as we continue the work of faith, justice, and service. #HUMC26 #HamptonMinistersConference #FaithInAction

Today, we gathered at Riverside Church to honor George Gresham, a true fighter for labor, justice, and dignity. George understood that workers’ rights are civil rights, and that the struggle for fairness is a moral struggle. We do not just mourn him today. We salute him. Rest in power, George Gresham. Your labor was not in vain. 📷: @supremecreativeagency #RIPGeorgeGresham

Six years after the murder of George Floyd, we are reminded that the fight for justice did not end with the marches, the protests, or the promises made in the summer of 2020. This weekend on #PoliticsNation, I reflected on the message I shared at George Floyd's funeral in Minneapolis and the urgency behind those words today. While some may have moved on, too many Americans still feel the weight of inequality in our criminal justice system, our schools, our healthcare system, and throughout everyday life. The struggle for equal justice requires more than remembrance. It requires action, vigilance, and a commitment to ensuring that the lessons of George Floyd's life and death are never forgotten. We honor his memory by continuing the work. Tune in to @PoliticsNation every Saturday and Sunday at 5 PM ET on MSNOW.
