The @eAmericaHQ community in the Netherlands came together this week for its first founder and developer meetup. Builders, entrepreneurs, and citizens gathered to exchange ideas, map out cross-border workflows, and connect in person. The energy in the room was incredible. Everyone loved the vision of what e-America is building, and it was exciting to see new relationships and collaborations forming. Looking forward to many more community led events across the Netherlands.

80 startup founders joined us last night at Aspire's office to discuss work, money, belonging, and e-Nations. We engaged in some fun intellectual speculation about the future. James Sun from Mamba Partners talked about what certain jobs might look like 20 years from now, including roles such as a sports coach for a robotic football team or a space tour guide. Alyssa Nicole from Aspire discussed how, 20 years from now, accounting might be embedded into every transaction, potentially eliminating the need for traditional accounting and reconciliation. Representing Draper Nation and e-America, I shared my thoughts on how nation states may look and function very differently 20 years from now, and how physical passports may no longer exist because identity could be embedded within our biometrics. Thank you to everyone who joined us. See you at the next one. The team just wrapped the monthly Community Collective cohort at @dsh_india. Through sessions on founder mindset, customer discovery, GTM, AI tools, and rapid execution, students were immediately testing ideas and talking to potential customers. The next cohort is in June. Congrats to @dtaubyte on its landmark partnership with @djezzy and @AlgeriaVenture to launch AventureCloudz, a full stack AI cloud platform. Powered by Taubyte’s open source, Git native technology and deployed on Djezzy’s cloud marketplace, this is a major step toward building local AI infrastructure at scale. A platform that helps developers and startups move from idea to product faster, while strengthening digital sovereignty and expanding access to next generation cloud tools. Proud to back Taubyte as they help enable a new wave of builders and tech talent across Algeria and beyond. Check out the new platform: ac.dz/

SF founders: the way we build companies is changing, and startups are now global from day one. Talent moves freely, capital crosses borders faster than ever, and for many founders, the old playbook simply doesn’t apply anymore. So on May 7th, we’re bringing together a curated group of founders, builders, and investors in San Francisco for an evening conversation on what it really takes to build without borders. We’ll cover how teams are actually being built today, what’s working across markets, and where founders are getting it wrong. Speakers: -Giulianna Crivello (DSH Ventures) -Vikram Bharati (Draper Nation, e-America) -Andrea Baronchelli (Aspire) If you’re building globally, or even thinking about it, you’ll want to be in the room. Join us. Register here 👉 luma.com/gibetuk0

Can you put Tibet on the cloud? We ran a hackathon in Bangalore at @dsh_india to find out. The results were mind blowing. Engineers flew in from across India, lived and worked together for the weekend, and built 5 open source projects across digital identity, governance, public services, finance, and culture Everything is open source 👇 github.com/ZerraHQ/digital-c… More hackathons coming soon.

Throwback to last week when we had the TalentHero team at our last event discussing all things talent in a borderless digital world. The main take aways were that human capital will go where it is wanted, and it will stay where it is well treated. In a world where work is no longer tied to geography, talent is moving faster than ever, across borders, across companies, across opportunities. And when you really think about it, human capital is the most important form of capital in modern/digital economies. The best talent is no longer dependent on institutions. They choose where to go, who to work with, and what to build. Which means companies, countries, and entire ecosystems are now competing on one thing: Who can attract and retain the best people.
