excited to get back into the forest after a little rest in Cocoa Beach.
Wildflowers are out of hand this year, almost too much to keep up with. I could spend days in the forest and still not see all of them.
Looking forward to making money today and finishing a project started back before the snows came, in December.
exciting new things happening in the Western North Carolina forest scene, opportunities to shine and love trees.
Our tax dollars at work, Where are the ANSI standards? http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=11152&id=100000552336689

A letter to the editor, recently published. http://www.mountainx.com/opinion/2010/why_is_dot_pruning_roadways_beyond_the_need_to_do_so/

I am still having difficulty accepting NCDOT pruning practices. ANSI standards are out the window, and it is ugly as......Thoughts? thanks
What a nail biter, UK. Was going out for some volunteer work, then it started raining, should I take that as a sign?
Looking forward to warmer days and planting thousands of trees.

Another short term 2 million to pad the pockets of the non-needy. Old school forestry at best.
It will be interesting to see how transparent these funds are given the agencies who receive monies for "administration and expertise"
....to believe and trust that the forest industry will deliver in a sustainable manner.
Having worked in forest inventory in a previous life, it is not about pumping stimulus funds to forest workers but getting landowners......
Wondering if the new funds (2 million) to the WNC forest industry will do anything to increase jobs and markets.
If anyone notices Oriental Bittersweet suddenly dying worldwide I know why. I cut the mother of all bittersweet yesterday. 4.7" DBH
Where are all the environmentalists when you need them or do they only care about large tracts of forest.
Am I the only one that cares about how these trees are being pruned. It does not reflect well upon the community.
