Nothing stopping us building it now - or at least preparing ✍🏻

If #covid is teaching us one thing it’s that people are lovely, the economy is broken and we need to build more resilience within our communities, not just at crisis point. Let’s build a more equal and just society when this is all over. Who’s in? ⭕️ 🌱 💪🏼

There will be lots of offers of help from the locals - especially those will community involvement - I would urge you to embrace this

Interesting ! PET bottles can be reused for numerous new lives

Single-use plastic' is a harmful, misunderstood term. A @NSWA_UK study revealed that many consumers believe this means the #packaging can only be used once, but this is not true as PET bottles are described in this way and can be #recycled! @FoodBev >> bit.ly/2T9tEoi

Tell me: why is everyone so keen to plant trees to combat climate change but no one is talking of making wildflower meadows which are just as efficient at capturing carbon? Yes, lets plant lots of trees - but not at the expense of meadows.

Well done Rachel for inspiring all the budding archaeologists as well as the budding architects in your talk
Our super Architecture Ambassador Rachel from @NativeYork launched a brilliant pyramid challenge for the year 5/6 students of @stoswaldsyork. We can't wait to see their final pyramid models (although it will be tough selecting winners!). Read more bit.ly/3aMByLj

Disappointed that EH thinks this is news! I have been recycling buildings for over 40 years. Instead of spending money on a report with yesterday's news spend the money on doing something practical like training conservation officers to accept thermal upgrades of historic fabric.
Buildings must be recycled and reused to help tackle climate change 🌱 Our new report shows that recycling historic buildings is essential to cutting the UK's carbon emissions 🏠 Find out more: bit.ly/2TfAf09 #HeritageCounts #HeritageDay

In an emergency climate we still need to look at how buildings are performing for people. Accelerating change and transforming the built environment is our aim.

I very much welcome the @yorkcivictrust findings and completely agree that a whole-city approach is needed: We must make it as easy & attractive as possible for people to not feel dependent on their cars to get around our beautiful city yorkpress.co.uk/news/1815017…
