Navy running back Alex Tecza is heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ rookie minicamp (May 8–10) as an undrafted free agent alongside teammate Eli Heidenreich (who was selected in the seventh round.)
Tecza put together a strong college career, earning second-team all-conference honors as a senior and first-team all-East recognition twice. He started 33 games and showed big-play ability with four touchdown runs of 60 yards.
He finished with 2,236 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, adding 41 receptions for 451 yards and three scores. As a senior, he totaled 902 yards and 10 TDs, with multiple 100-yard games and standout performances, including a 163-yard game vs. Memphis and a key showing in an upset win over USF.
