Feeling the pressure to network, but find yourself just chasing or feeling unseen? It's an interesting case, right, but it's time to ask: Are you genuinely trying to build connections or just seeking help and chasing? Read here: sieg.hashnode.dev/the-networ… In my latest article, “The Networking Trap,” I unpack the hidden flaws behind ineffective networking and share how to cultivate genuine relationships that not only last but also open doors to future opportunities. I’d love to hear your thoughts

Sometimes I wish I could see people's mindset on their foreheads... would save me a lot of time.

These guys saw how much more Opus 4.8 consumes compared to 4.7 and still shipped it like “hey, we got new benchmarks, here you go.” Now they want even more money too. LMAOO!!!.

Sure, Claude is making waves across industries, but let’s be real. A lot of clients aren’t ready to spend thousands of dollars on a model that’s powerful but burns through tokens quickly. That ends up increasing costs and sometimes slows down workflows. For many people, it’s still more practical to pay a human a few hundred dollars to get the job done faster and with less hassle..another hassle is even learning how to prompt better which a lot of people out there don't have the time for cus that takes learning a lil bit about that field lol

Honestly, these guys really nerfed air bending, the potential it has is insane. They should have made air benders the villains😂

For software engineers, AI wont replace you that easily because people with zero understanding of your craft are waking up every day shipping ideas they don't fully grasp, and building things they won't be able to maintain long term. Eventually, those systems break. And when they do, they won't call the AI. They'll call someone who actually understands what's going on. So, you're not being replaced. You're becoming the person who fixes what others rushed to build and that's if you keep growing in knowledge.

Code cleanup is incredibly tedious, and no...I’m not using AI for it. It’s the kind of work that feels slow and annoying in the moment, but I know my future self will be grateful for it.

It’s always the employed ones preaching online that AI will take all the jobs and how doomed we all are.

Startup people have no idea what is being built in big tech. You're talking about companies that gave the world React, VS Code, Kubernetes, Bazel etc. Their engineering blogs are a testament to human ingenuity. These are not CRUD factories. In SDE, there are creators and consumers. Most of the consumers are overhyping LLMs. They deserve the hype but not like this.
The age of the tech company with 1,000 engineers is over.

Human slop is far better than AI slop. At least when humans write messy code, it’s still understandable, debuggable, and can be easily improved.
