It will be interesting to see marxists take this slant quite to the contrary of many other marxists because they realise that arguing on the grounds of the LTV is a losing battle. Maybe they will adopt a position like Cohens.

But why use wealth if we are concerend with livings standards when income is a better measure on that generally, and if we wanted we could find out how the wealth impacts income, or we could even just look at raw consumption data in terms of goods.
