there is no "marxist labour theory of value". there is only the marxist critique of the labour theory of value found in classical economics.

But why use wealth if we are concerend with livings standards when income is a better measure on that generally, and if we wanted we could find out how the wealth impacts income, or we could even just look at raw consumption data in terms of goods.
