Splitting time between family, Altoona Mirror and Pickleball. On PSU football beat since 1977. An original NitWit. President, Blair County Sports Hall of Fame.
This should solidify Jalen Brunson as the greatest Knick ever. The title teams of 1970 and 73 had Frazier, Reed, DeBusschere, Bradley, Earl the Pearl and Dick Barnett — all in the Hall of Fame. Plus Red Holtzman. Ewing and Bernard King in conversation but Brunson stands alone.
🚨Over the next three weeks, @BigTenNetwork will feature all 18 @BigTen schools with a dedicated School Day.
📺 Each school will be highlighted with a full day of programming, including championships, classic games, original storytelling and more.

Nice to see that @psfcabig33 referee is Hollidaysburg native Mike Price, son of former Golden Tiger coach Harold Price, who is in both the PSFCA and Blair County Sports Hall of Fame. 69th annual Big 33 Game pits PA vs. Maryland.
I’m sure I don’t understand the /- NBA analytics, but how was Alex Caruso a 0 last night after 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including eight (of 14) 3s, plus 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and just 2 turnovers in 32 minutes? Is it because he only had one assist? @TheFrankIsola
Master of his craft.
Ace photog Patrick Waksmumski directs traffic @AltoonaMirrorPA 21st annual Athlete of Year banquet. Record turnout of 335 recognizes 77 Athletes of the Week and special award winners.
Condolences to his family and the PSU community on the passing of Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli, the Nittany Lions’ team doctor for three decades. Too young at 68.
Sebastianelli was the unsung hero in Adam Taliaferro’s amazing recovery from paralysis after a 2000 injury at Ohio State.
One of the cool things about the NFL Draft is the annual exposure it brings former PSU student/Daily Collegian writer Mike Signora, an NFL senior VP of communications. @NFLfootballinfo
Former Penn State QB Drew Allar is visiting the Steelers today, per source.
As Pittsburgh awaits a decision from Aaron Rodgers, it has now hosted most of the draft’s top QB prospects on visits, which conclude today.
ESPN’s Hannah Storm graced the Blair County Sports Hall of Fame last night and to say she impressed the 800 in attendance would be an understatement. Her enthusiasm, personality, career journey and message were off the charts. One of the sports world’s greatest ambassadors.
UConn had this game — defensively, pace — right where it wanted it. Just wore down, couldn’t make enough shots and struggled with Michigan size.
Great run.
Since we're watching the NCAA's lack of leadership basically destroying college sports before our eyes, we can't possibly expect reasonable start times to Sweet 16 games. As a result, we get Houston-Illinois at 10:05 tonight. NoDoz is lead sponsor.
Miami of Ohio is a pleasure to watch and I’m rooting for them. Let’s hope jacking up 3s early in the shot clock with an 11-point lead and 2:30 left doesn’t come back to haunt them.
