Leap of faith.
Leaping up to 2 metres between branches, using their bushy tails for balance and sharp claws for grip — red squirrels are tiny athletes and pretty much fearless. 🐿️🔥
Such speed, such agility, such attitude.

His coat changing — that warm red coming through, with just a trace of baby fur catching the sun. Longer ears, a sharper snout… growing into himself .
For a moment, the mischief paused

A red kite drifting effortlessly above, framed by nature.
There’s something humbling about watching it glide — no rush, no noise, just pure freedom carried on the wind.

Fantastic Mr Fox 🦊
Early mornings have begun again with this familiar face. For five years now, we’ve shared quiet sunrises—just sitting together as the world wakes up. It’s been a real privilege to be allowed into his space.

I’ve photographed this beautiful male fox for nearly 5 years now. In that time, he’s raised many cubs. This year, he stands alone in the golden morning light — his partner sadly gone. One of his cubs now walks the territory with him.

It’s been a crazy few weeks of weather.
Heavy rain falling on already saturated ground - high spring tides, combined with strong winds and surge has caused localised flooding, river flooding and difficult travel conditions.

The pine marten — cat crainn in Irish.
A native, tree-dwelling mammal, about the size of a domestic cat, with rich brown fur, a creamy throat patch and a long tail. Part of the weasel family, they are incredible climbers, as seen here.
