Big shoutout to @LSU @golctc @ULSystem @SouthernU_BR - aligned in our advocacy for talent development. In a historically underfunded environment, collaboration isn’t optional—it’s essential. #StrongerTogether #Onward

Throwback to when Jesse Jackson showed up in committee while I was trying to pass my literacy reform bills. Rest in peace Reverend.

Ground is officially broken on the Hyundai Training Center in Donaldsonville. With @Hyundai’s new steel plant, they were in search of a workforce ready to compete on the global stage. This training center will build careers that support real wages through real paychecks. And thanks to River Parishes Community College, those jobs will go to Louisiana students who train right here in Ascension Parish. It’s another great day in Louisiana!

“Tax reform is complicated and difficult. I applaud this body and the administration’s efforts to provide meaningful relief to Louisiana taxpayers that could also help recruit and retain individuals and businesses.”
Manish Bhatt, Senior Policy Analyst at the Tax Foundation, testified before the Louisiana House Ways and Means Subcommittee that the state's tax code is inefficient and uncompetitive, putting Louisiana at a disadvantage. Read the testimony here:hubs.ly/Q02SxKj80

Today, CNBC ranked Louisiana 47th in the country for business. This is unacceptable and NOW is the time for change! In order to bring Louisiana from the bottom to the top, we must simplify and refresh our tax structure. Today, Secretary @larevenue @NelsonforLA laid out a great plan to reform our tax code and open Louisiana up for more jobs and opportunity. I appreciate his work. We need a more prosperous Louisiana for all people.
