Randy Castillo, the highly respected drummer best known for his long tenure with Ozzy Osbourne (1986–1993 and 1995–1999) and his later stint with Mötley Crüe (1999–2002), passed away on March 26, 2002, at age 51. He died from squamous cell carcinoma (a form of cancer) that had spread to his brain, after being diagnosed earlier in 2002. His death came shortly after he had been forced to leave Mötley Crüe’s tour in February 2002 due to health issues.
