An Honest Story: The NFT Fast Cash Grab Project That Failed at Being Fast and Cash Grab Hey guys, we want to share an honest story about a project weโ€™ve been building for the last four years. It started as a quick cash-grab idea during the NFT maniaโ€ฆ and ended up becoming something completely different. Back in 2021, when people were spending millions on random JPEGs, we thought: โ€œwhy not us?โ€ At that time literally everything with โ€œNFTโ€ in the name was selling. We still remember one absurd collection of simple math problems (like 2 3=5 or 9-7=2), which sold out in hours and made its creator millions. We looked at that and thought: we can definitely do something like this โ€“ and even better. The seed of our idea was simple. We didnโ€™t want to compete in the overcrowded avatar market. Instead, we aimed to carve out a new niche. Thatโ€™s how we came up with metatitles โ€” digital equivalents of noble titles. We figured that for many NFT buyers it wasnโ€™t just about art, it was about prestige, about signaling social status. Avatars symbolized this indirectly. We decided to make it literal: an actual internet noble title โ€” in short, netocracy. It felt fresh and original, so we jumped in. The plan was simple: build it in 2โ€“3 months, launch, and profit. But reality had other plans. Our team core were three people โ€” a blockchain dev, a philosopher, and an organizer โ€” each with too many โ€œbrilliant ideas.โ€ The scope kept growing until the NFT hype was already gone. What was supposed to be a quick flip turned into months of on-and-off work, doubts, and endless rethinking. By the time we had a well-designed and ambitious project, the NFT bull run was over. Had we launched anything earlier, maybe we wouldโ€™ve ridden the hype wave. But we aimed for quality. And in this market, that was probably a mistake. Most people would have abandoned the project at that point โ€” the cycle was over. Honestly, we probably should have too. But we couldnโ€™t let it go. Instead, we chose to act as true builders and develop it during the bear market. Of course, motivation dropped, but we swore weโ€™d deliver it for the next bull run. After all, we had three years ahead of us. Plenty of timeโ€ฆ right? Well, the first two years passed in a haze of guilt (that we werenโ€™t doing enough) mixed with comfort (thinking we still had plenty of time). But by summer 2024 it hit us: the clock was ticking. We had to finally get serious. So we cut 75% of the features and focused on three core pillars: metatitles, factions, and strong tokenomics. Why these three? Metatitles โ€” a new and unique product in the NFT market. Factions โ€” because itโ€™s fun to split a community into archetypes of internet life, a bit like Hogwarts houses. Solid tokenomics โ€” especially our built-in royalties system, which ensures that every time one of our NFTs is resold, holders benefit too. On top of that, we wanted our metatitles to reflect the culture and history of crypto itself. We tracked key market moments and trends and wove them into the names of metatitles. Youโ€™ll find references to historic market dumps (like the one after Trumpโ€™s inauguration) and a whole wave of allusions to Muradโ€™s memecoin philosophy. Discovering these Easter eggs was meant to be part of the fun โ€” and we think it worked. The biggest struggle turned out to be marketing. We didnโ€™t know anyone in the crypto influencer space. We reached out to tons of people โ€” most ghosted us. We really tried to personalize our messages, but in this world of endless spam, even tailored DMs often get ignored. Agencies werenโ€™t much help either: they either demanded astronomical sums or flat out didnโ€™t want to represent us, since the trend of the week was elsewhere (memecoins, AI agents, you name it). Narratives shifted every few days. We tried to offer something universal and affordable (each NFT priced at just 0.032 ETH), but for agencies it sounded unserious. Honestly, we donโ€™t think many of them even understood what Netocracy was about. We tried DIY marketing, but letโ€™s be honest โ€” thatโ€™s not our strong suit. And yet, after four years, we finally finished. The project passed all tests and is ready to launch on Sunday, September 7, 2025. We know weโ€™re not celebrities, and we donโ€™t have millions for ads. But we believe in Netocracy. Itโ€™s not perfect, but itโ€™s honest. Exciting news! ๐ŸŽ‰ Huge congratulations to one of our founders, @jssnapiecek, on the birth of his first son this weekend! ๐Ÿ‘ถโค๏ธ As a small team, with him leading our social channels, our online activity might slow down a bit in the coming daysโ€”family first! But we'll ramp up soon with more on Netocracy. Lots ahead! For now, celebrate new life with us and dive into our project: netocracy.io/ ๐Ÿš€

Most influencers on Crypto Twitter aren't even good market analysts. They're not super smart. Or great traders. All they have is reach and a follower base. Their visibility is fueled by - already recognized by algorithms - visibility, not good content. Many even steal content from smaller accounts. They can post โ€œgmโ€ every morning and get 1000x more views than a small account with quality posts. They are the literal definition of Too Big To Fail.

We just turned down a paid collab with a PR firm. Paid marketing in crypto & NFTs? That's everything we stand against. We're not into: - Armies of fake accounts parroting the same script - Influencers shilling projects they don't even understand - Copy-pasted hype echoed by hundreds of linked bots - Buying reach - Shallow, unoriginal spam flooding Twitter for fake engagement - Worshipping KOLs like gods - Pretending bots are real users Sure, maybe we're shooting ourselves in the footโ€”few know about Netocracy yet. But every post we craft is genuine sweat and belief from real people, not troll farms or bots. We struggle to reach folks organically, but at least we're not deceiving anyone. And we sleep soundly. #AuthenticCrypto #Netocracy

This alt pump looks like the Clone Wars. So many projects are cannibalizing each other's ideas, fighting for limited capital. You have a choice: 1๏ธโƒฃ Do the same as the masses and invest in another clone of a clone, 2๏ธโƒฃ Or oppose the trend and invest in something truly new. Take a risk. Give Netocracy a chance. Check what Metatitles are.

Damn, finally someone said it out loud. Communities built on the "working on their bags" scheme, which is actually a synonym for spamming. So much copy-pasted content and graphics or memes that try too hard to go viral. Almost no true substance. This must change. Welcome to Netocracy.

People donโ€™t hate the concept of crypto. They hate the people participating in crypto. Honestly, I get it. I hate half the mfs here too ๐Ÿ’€

This is the view from the โ€œofficeโ€ from where we are launching the Netocracy today. Itโ€™s quite a funny story. Last 24h weโ€™re trying to fix broken laptop with all the marketing materials prepared for the premiere. It takes whole day but successfully finished about 4 hours ago. The premiere took place 1.5h ago. Everything went smooth. And then 5 minutes later the electricity in whole town went down. We are improvising all those tweets from a iPhone with a connection to a power bank from a garden. Maybe the world is giving us signs? Maybe itโ€™s not ready for a premiere of Netocracy? Or maybe it only gives us pretext to admire this beautiful sunset. Anyway - have a great day everybody. Whatever happens, life is great. Squeeze it to the last drop.

We need to hear more stories like this. Spending almost $0.5M on an avatar is not the definition of good fun, but gambling and overhype. But even losing $400K can give you something valuable instead. @ryder_ripps' honest style gives vibes of good literature. His story sounds 100x more interesting than all those success stories of BAYC members. Being reasonable and honest means more than money. A free NFT Metatitle from our Netocracy collection for that guy! (Just claim you wanted it, Ryder :) ) BTW, one Metatitle costs only 0.032 ETH to mint, so come onโ€”even if it's a failure, the risk is not big ;)
