This Knicks championship came at the worst possible time for Brooklyn. Two years of tanking and zero top draft picks to show for it. The gap has never been this wide. I'll ride for this team through anything, and this will be the most difficult time.
"Multiple front-office sources around the league expect Reaves to have interest from the Brooklyn Nets, with a four-year, $178.5 million contract expected to be offered," via (@DanWoikeSports )
Is this a good move for Brooklyn?
At the end of the day this is a bunch of random dudes throwing a rubber ball into a net. This does not actually impact my personal life, career, or relationships in any capacity
Jalen Brunson is the 1st Player in NBA Finals History to record the following numbers in a 3-game span:
• 80 FG Attempts
• Sub-40% FG
• 12 Turnovers
He remains the favorite to win Finals MVP.
I do not know who the Nets will draft. What I do know:
- I will be confused on draft day
- I will defend that guy with my life as soon as he steps on to the Barclay's Center court.
This year marked the largest regular season win difference between the Knicks and the Nets since the NBA/ABA merger in 1973 ( 33 wins).
Now there's a good chance at a Knicks championship too.
It can only get better for Brooklyn from here on out.
