This is why I don’t understand fans who are so adamant that Marks or any GM should not reach and just go with “BPA.”
We have decades of evidence that consensus isn’t all that useful. If you’re not constantly questioning your own opinions and assumptions, you’re doing it wrong.
There's no way people still just blindly trust consensus. Why does every non-consensus big board get littered with "me when I want to me different" type quotes.
Look how good consensus has been and tell me if we shouldn't be allowed to stray from it
“As a former Net … I’m not going to cheer for the Knicks period … But I cheer for Mikal” -- Cam Johnson talks about how happy he is for his twin Mikal Bridges to win an NBA Championship 🏆
Egor Dëmin is making me question so many of my assumptions about the 2026 draft class.
This is a guy who shot 27% from 3 and 69% from the free throw line at BYU and came into the NBA shooting 38.5% from 3 and 83% from the free throw line.
In year ONE!
And people still question if he’ll add the requisite strength, ball handling skills, and agility necessary to be a great NBA player lol. Count me as a believer.
Brooklyn Nets 2020-21 coaching staff was stacked:
Steve Nash
Jacque Vaughn
Ime Udoka*
Mike D’Antoni
Tiago Splitter*
Royal Ivey
Jordan Ott*
Ryan Forehan-Kelly
Amar’e Stoudemire
*Current NBA head coach
Interesting thing happening where everyone is mocking Acuff to the Nets now but very little Nets side noise about Acuff
Is it possible he’s their guy but they just don’t want to leak it in fear of SAC leaping them?
Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe spent a decent amount of time last night talking about the Nets plans.
Both believe they’re an intriguing team with a ton of assets and noted the awkwardness of the 6th pick when they already have a lot of guards.
Trade back? Reaves? Giannis?
From @TheAthletic: The Yankees have the Mets. The Giants have the Jets. The Rangers have the Islanders. The Knicks have no rival for New York’s heart, so this championship means so much more to the city. nyti.ms/4av1rR2
De'Aaron Fox's 4-year, $229M taking effect next year has to be an absolute nonstarter for the Nets unless there are 3 unprotected first round picks attached to it:
2026-27: $49.5 million
2027-28: $53.5 million
2028-29: $57.4 million
2029-30: $61.4 million
2030-31: UFA
I need Egor Dëmin, Nolan Traore, Drake Powell, and Ben Saraf glued to the TV watching how Dylan Harper attacks the rim and gives high effort defense.
Powell and Saraf can utilize their strength and finesse, Traore his speed, and Dëmin his size.
This fetishization of celebrities and, now, politicians attending very expensive sporting events is honestly disgusting. A pretty apt metaphor for the times we’re in
Awaiting a decision today from Luigi Suigo on whether or not to stay in the draft.
Impressive big man who could be an option for the Nets at the 33rd or 43rd picks if he stays in the draft.
This is one of the greatest grifts of all time lmao. Go search Nets on his tweets and see how he was talking when we were up, now it’s “I’ll see you at the knicks parade” 😂
I can’t even be mad cause of how shameless this is. Happy for him just stay on that side PLEASE
Life is short. Choose happiness. Be happy for ppl. I understand misery loves company but don’t invite me to that sht. #Knicks in however many. I’ll see you at the parade ✌🏿
After the type of stunts knick fans were up to in MSG the Spurs need to just straight up remove anyone rooting for the knicks.
The only way to defeat James Dolan is to use his own unethical actions against him: facial surveillance and the removal of fans in opposition to owners.
