Translation from russian: “Please let us murder you without a threat of retaliation.”
The Russians want Ukraine’s permission to hold their parade – so they can safely take to the square for an hour once a year, and then go back to killing *our* people and waging war. The Russians are already talking about strikes after May 9. A strange and certainly twisted logic from the Russian leadership. There are also messages from some states close to Russia that their representatives intend to be in Moscow. An odd desire at a time like this. We do not recommend it.

Just look at all those russian simps in the comments. They’re either scared, or have a directive to spew this shitty bravado.

President of Ukraine, @ZelenskyyUa, has stated that the russian side has violated the ceasefire. Ukraine is ready for peace. But peace is impossible when one side chooses terror, every single day.

On May 6, Ukraine marks Infantry Day, honoring those holding the front lines through years of full-scale war. Enduring extreme conditions and long separations from loved ones, they continue fighting to reclaim every meter of Ukrainian land.

“It is essential that Russia is forced to end this war. We need silence from such strikes every single day, not just for a few hours somewhere out there for “celebrations.” Until this happens, it is essential that as many Ukrainians survive as possible. u24.gov.ua/sky-defense?utm_s…
Seven people are currently in hospitals after being injured in the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia, while some others are still undergoing the necessary medical examinations. A total of 37 people have been affected. It was a guided aerial bomb attack that directly targeted the city’s civilian infrastructure. The Russians show no restraint in destroying human life. This was an absolutely cynical terrorist strike, with no military justification whatsoever. Not a single day passes without such Russian attacks on our cities and villages. This one strike alone has already claimed 12 lives. In the evening, the Russian scumbags also launched attacks on Dnipro. As of now, four people were reported killed. My condolences to the families and loved ones. It is essential that Russia is forced to end this war. We need silence from such strikes and all others like them every single day, not just for a few hours somewhere out there for “celebrations.” Life must be protected, and I am grateful to all our partners who have spoken in support of Ukraine and are helping us defend life.

‘russian ceasefire’ continues: 3 deadly bombs on Kramatorsk; at least 5 people killed, 5 more wounded. We can’t make russia cease to exist, but we can do something to protect the rest of the world from it: u24.gov.ua/sky-defense?utm_s…
‘russian ceasefire’ — 1 killed and 8 injured in Zaporizhzhia. The only victory russia can celebrate is one over their sense of humanity. Hypocrisy might be their last human trait. Let’s help protect Ukraine from these bastards: u24.gov.ua/sky-defense?utm_s…

In a mirror response to Russian strikes, we will continue our long-range sanctions. And in response to Russia’s willingness to move toward diplomacy, we will proceed along the path of diplomacy.
Since the start of the day, the Russian army has been attacking Ukraine in every form – with attack drones, missile strikes, shelling and assaults along the front line, and the use of aerial bombs. In just the time from midnight through the morning, there have already been around 100 attack drones, dozens of assault actions on key frontline directions, as well as dozens of air strikes. Significant damage to civilian infrastructure has been recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions. There have also been strikes on the Ukrzaliznytsia locomotives and infrastructure in several regions. Ukraine’s energy system remains a constant Russian target. All of this shows that Russia is not seriously considering a ceasefire, and that the only thing that continues to concern the Russian leadership is a short-term silence on Red Square. Russia continues to kill people while being completely irrationally obsessed with only a few hours of silence in one part of Moscow. Ukraine will act justly – day by day. We proposed a ceasefire starting at midnight on May 6. Yesterday and today, Russia has violated this ceasefire regime. In a mirror response to Russian strikes, we will continue our long-range sanctions. And in response to Russia’s willingness to move toward diplomacy, we will proceed along the path of diplomacy. We need concrete steps to end this war, and peace will still be achieved – we are working toward that. The only question is how much time will be lost because of Russia’s madness. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!

Despite record-high intensity of Russian air attacks, Ukraine’s air defense continues to deliver strong results. In April 2026 alone, nearly 6,000 enemy drones and missiles were intercepted. More than 89% of attack drones were neutralized, while during some of the most massive combined attacks Ukraine’s defenders achieved interception rates of 92–95%. Russia is trying to exhaust Ukrainian air defense day and night. But Ukrainian sky defenders continue to prove their resilience, professionalism, and effectiveness — including F-16 crews playing a critical role in intercepting cruise missiles. At the same time, the shortage of Patriot missiles remains a serious challenge for countering ballistic threats.

🇺🇦🇳🇴 Scaling military aid and strategic alignment on key priorities—Air Defense, long-range ammunition, and Ukrainian drones. Norway has allocated $300M to the new PURL package, including vital Patriot missiles.
Working visit to Norway. The primary mission: scaling military aid and strategic alignment on key priorities—Air Defense, long-range ammunition, and Ukrainian drones. A productive day of high-level talks with @jonasgahrstore, @jensstoltenberg, @toreosa, @Stortinget, and Norwegian defense industry leaders. Also joined the NORDEFCO session to deepen defense cooperation with Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland. Norway has allocated $300M to the new PURL package, including vital Patriot missiles. Grateful to President @ZelenskyyUa for his leadership and constant dialogue with partners to secure this protection for our skies, civilians, and infrastructure. Also we discussed joint defense projects, anti-Shahed solutions, training AI models on real combat data, and mechanisms for rapid tech scaling. Ukraine ensure every dollar of support delivers a concrete result: a reinforced front and the dismantling of the enemy’s potential.
