On #FrenchImmersionDay, we should celebrate the progress that’s been made to support our at-risk readers! We now have standardized screening tools to identify struggling readers & a structured literacy program, Son-au-graphe, that’s research-based & highly effective.
Started using @gecdsbpro Son-au-graphe with this group of SKs in December as part of their language program. Look at them go—reading connected text with confidence! Emphasis put on tracking with their finger to support decoding and directionality. #EarlyLiteracy#ReadingSuccess
