People are touting ivermectin for Hantavirus. A drug that requires a supply chain, a seller, a buyer and money. If IVM actually worked, it would immediately be hoarded and not be available. Nevermind that there are no trials showing that it works.
On the other hand we have trials that interferon (an endogenous protein in your body) helps fight all sorts of viruses and we have trials that it helps in Hantavirus.
We also know cheap ways of elevating our own interferon quite high. So why are some against it? Because you don't need a supply chain, pharmacist, or money to get it. You can't hoard it either.
