In honor of Military Appreciation Month, we’re highlighting New England College alumnus Troy ’26, who earned his Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. 🎖️🎓 It is incredibly impressive to see military personnel pursue higher education during or after their service, continuing to lead, grow, and expand their impact in the classroom and beyond the military. 🇺🇸 NEC was originally established in 1946 to serve the needs of servicemen and women attending college on the GI Bill after World War II. In 2025, NEC was designated a Purple Heart College, joining a national network of institutions committed to honoring and supporting Purple Heart recipients and military-connected students. “Our connection to the military community has been part of who we are since the beginning.” stated Dr. Wayne F.
