I just reviewed the video of the ring snake i took to get frames out of it for inaturalist when i noticed a tail in the video seemed too far away from the ring snake to be his own. And then i saw it...
Maybe the lawn care people won't come so close to my door with the leaf blower if they have to risk getting stabbed by natures vengeance.

I placed a spanish bayonet plant in my yard for thread production. Touching it hurts more than a cactus. I need a lawn full of them. I can think of no better way to convey "get off my property" then a front yard full of them.
Also need a better shelter plan. And I need to make some modifications to my bag and pants which i can now do because i finally got to learning sewing.

Post analysis on my failure says I need to reduce weight of my gear. I need a way to weigh what i'm taking with me and set a limit. As for water weight, i have a plan for reducing it considerably. I also need to figure out a way to dry myself in harsh conditions.

more than half of the water in the resin/alcohol mixture has evaporated. The resin is glittering at the bottom.
I keep saying i want to do something more meaningful and there isn't anything more meaningful in the game than to get rid of this dual account cheater on my team denying Orlando to all players. I need to deal with this before Fall.
When i returned home, i could still hear the horseflies buzzing. I kept looking over my shoulder even in my own home.

Learning that despite how far i can hike with a full load, other activities drain my energy considerable, like making a shelter. Upper body endurance is terrible.

During the early morning, i felt the ground shake and rumble. Each time, dew would fall from the trees. I thought it was another earthquake. But it happened way too many times. It was from a target range for military aircraft nearby. I was feeling bombs.

I learned I don't like that path through Ocala forest. Alone, it's the nicest trail i've seen so far. But its beauty is tainted by the constant stream of four wheelers, trucks, and jeeps coming through full of obnoxious people.

I had to call for a pickup on the way back along route 42. The horseflies would not allow me to dry myself despite having more than enough clothes to swap. And conditions were horribly wet. My soft inflated skin was torn to shreds by my movements to the point i couldn't walk.

Then there was this ring snake derping out. It was living alongside the coral snakes in a mutual nest.
But i realized they didn't care about me at all and were just heading to a high point in the ground to either/or avoid flooding from the coming rain or wait there in ambush for other animals escaping it

I based myself at a nice spot just feet away from a couple coral snakes living in a palmetto. At first they scared me when they emerged out of their nest seemingly unafraid of me. I thought maybe they didn't like me being there.
But there won't be horseflies in Winter.

It failed because despite the shorter distance, the majority of my energy was spent fending off horseflies. Over the course of almost 24 hours, this wore me down to nothing.

My goal was to explore further and familiarize myself with Ocala forest. I thought of taking portals in Ingress at Camp Ocala but it seemed pointless unless i was ready to follow up with the victory. I'm not ready for it yet.

Yesterday was my most difficult hike despite it not being my longest. I failed. But I found a key location that will fix my water weight problem when I go through Ocala forest at the end of the year.
