Thank you Uma.
The urgency demands stronger action.
The government needs to do more.
One year on from my visit to the occupied Palestinian Territories and the West Bank - the humanitarian situation remains deeply urgent.
What I saw there has stayed with me: families without food, women and children cut off from healthcare, communities living in fear every single day.
Since then, I’ve used my voice to speak up in Parliament:
➡️ Challenging ministers and the then and current Foreign Secretary on the Government’s red lines
➡️ Calling for stronger action, including sanctions
➡️ Backing recognition of the State of Palestine — an important step forward
Across Stratford and Bow our community have demanded action. I will keep taking your calls to the heart of Government because this cannot be something we just witness, it must be something we act on.
