Lastly, is RHP, Jhony Brito. In 90.1 innings at the big league level last year, Brito had a 4.28 era with a Fip of 4.74, and a 9.2 SwStr%. Brito brings velocity throwing his fastball up to 98, and could play a big role for the #Padres next year.

Overall, the #Padres got a great return for 1 year of Juan Soto, and 2 years of Trent Grisham. The Padres brought in a bunch of diverse pitchers into their rotation who feature these pitches that stand out: King-Sinker, Sweeper Thorpe-Slider, Changeup Vásquez-Curveball, Slider/Cutter Brito-Fastball, Changeup From Kings, Vásquez, and Brito’s movement and break, to Thorpe’s command, the Padres got 4 great additions. In the past years, the #Padres struggled to develop pitchers with great analytics and movement. Now, they have the opportunity to develop 3 young pitchers (Thorpe, Vásquez, Brito) who already bring good analytics under one of, if not, the best pitching coach in the league, Ruben Niebla.
