Huge thanks to @Stanford team who added a transcript for this podcast. I think it would be a best practice for all your #StanfordGSE podcasts, but I'm glad you started with the one I needed for class! ed.stanford.edu/news/unprece…

Turnitin has acknowledged a reliability problem with Ai cheating-detection software used on 38 million student papers. Computer scientists warn we may never be able to reliably detect AI. wapo.st/3oJAO6l

My wows and wonders from my first #HIEDISTE #ISTECert meeting: @stefboutelier @madcraig @daisysam1 @atilamrac I loved our group discussion around play in learning and also not picking technology because it is "cool". I'm wondering what lens to approach this certification from!

Thank you, @historysandoval for the great idea! Throughout the course of our WWII unit. Students have been reading from @mattdelmont 's book Half American, these were the Blackout Poems they created to represent a major theme from the book:

Not sure what the point of @Zoom avatars are, but I turn mine on when colleagues ask awkward questions and I have no poker face

Images in a graphic novel that were created using the artificial-intelligence system Midjourney should not have been granted copyright protection, the U.S. Copyright Office said in a letter seen by @Reuters reut.rs/3m2tSQd

What does an elf living in a shoebox have to do with #chatgpt? You'll have to ask the @ButlerCCom faculty to find out 😂 🖼️by #midjourney

Reading @lfurze's AI ethics article and realizing this alt text is amazing... I'm seeing a new #accessibility lesson plan that where Ss use AI image generators to see how good their alt text is. leonfurze.com/2023/01/26/tea…

I'm seeing more and more of these unreliable AI detection systems being released and wrote a post about how educators need to pause and think before uploading student work to them. marcwatkins.substack.com/p/i…

I've been noodling putting together some AI literacy resources, and this blog post from @Autumm is excellent!
As always, some great ideas from @Autumm. Also a great reminder to not forget to teach *about* technology in the rush to teach *with* technology. (@CivicsOfTech has so many great resources for that) autumm.edtech.fm/2023/01/18/…

We are always looking for ways to make grading more efficient and less time consuming. To help instructors save time, we've implemented a keyboard shortcut, 'MI' that can be used to quickly mark a submission as missing. It's available in today's deploy! #CanvasLMS #Tips4Teachers

A reminder that there are MANY valid ways of doing arithmetic so if we just focus on standard algorithms as the only way, it makes sense that a lot of people don't feel like they're a math person because their ways, or ways that might make more sense to them, aren't being taught.
