The Disneyland Railroad is soooo much better than what we have at Disney World. It’s always a must do for me. 🚂 🦕

Take a look at this Disney World commercial from 1999 for their Millennium Celebration. Two things stand out to me. I always loved ordering their free vacation planning VHS tapes and DVDs, and hearing them say rooms starting as low as $74 is making me want to go back to those days. 😭

Did you know the dog in Living With the Land and Pirates of the Caribbean are the exact same dog!? The reason is that it was modeled after Walt Disney’s own dog as a nod to the man that brought the Disney parks to life. 🐕 📸 @WDWNT @TouringPlans

I might be in the minority, but I enjoy watching Awesome Planet. And you get to see wall carpet while you wait which is always a bonus. 👌

This is short, but awesome. 😍 Here’s footage of the Electrical Water Pageant from NBC on Walt Disney World's Opening Ceremony. This aired on October 29, 1971 so it had only been running for less than a month at that point. I love love LOVE the Electrical Water Pageant and always make sure to watch it when we’re staying at one of the monorail resorts.

On this day in 2010, Toy Story 3 premiered in Hollywood at the El Capitan Theatre. It would be generally released on June 18. The movie achieved massive commercial and critical success, grossing over $1 billion worldwide and winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. I think this one is the best of the 4 movies they’ve released, and I can’t wait to see the 5th one on Friday!

I could watch old Disney parks videos all night. Here’s a clip of Walt previewing his latest project, Pirates Of The Caribbean. 🏴‍☠️ They also show the making of the animatronics for the attraction, and it blows my mind what they were able to do with them in the mid 60’s. And watching them ride in the back of truck along the highway to Disneyland while other cars notice them is hysterical. 😂

On episode 2 of the DisTwitter Podcast, I asked @DrewDisneyDude about Disney collaborating with Fortnite, and how it could help the parks division. If you want to hear the entire episode and the great insight Drew has about the parks, watch the full thing now at the link below. 👇🏻 youtu.be/dgCfp4elNEg?si=nU2X…

Take a look at what the Grand Floridian looked like back in the early/mid 90’s. 🏨 🎥 dis_nostalgia #TikTok tiktok.com/t/ZP8sa3vtK/

How would you rate TRON Lightcycle / Run on a scale of 1-10? 🏍️ I know it’s short, but I still think it’s a ton of fun. I’ll give it a 7.5

The Travel Channel was so clutch back in the day when it came to showing some great Disney Parks content. I remember this clip of them showing some behind the scenes things about Haunted Mansion very well. 👻 🪦

I’m at my son’s end of the year party at his school, and the temperature for today is 101! 🥵 So the heat got me thinking… What’s your favorite place at Disney World to take a break in the parks on a hot day? I know my answer. Give me the Land Pavilion! You can not only ride Soarin’ and Living With the Land, but you can watch Awesome Planet, eat at Sunshine Seasons, and use one of my favorite bathrooms at EPCOT. 😂 What’s your go to cool off spot?

Remember The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management? Woof, that was awful. But here’s Imagineer Kevin Rafferty talking about why they did this new version of the show, whichbthankfully went back to more like the original version after running for almost 13 years. 🦜

On this day in Disney history in 1994, The relocated 1,500-seat Theater of the Stars, now on the brand new Sunset Boulevard at Disney-MGM Studios, reopens with Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage (a musical production that has been running in the park since 1991). Sunset Boulevard pays tribute to the glamorous theater district of Tinseltown in all its glory days.

The average person visits Walt Disney World 3.5 times in their lifetime. So congratulations to a lot of you reading this because you’re above average! 😂 🙌🏻

Shoutout to The Seas Pavilion at EPCOT. I could spend so much time in there just watching the all the fish, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and manatees. It’s so peaceful in there and a nice place to cool off on a hot day. 🐠🐟🐢🦈🐬🪸🪼🐚 And fun fact, the aquarium holds 5.7 million gallons of saltwater. It is so large that you could fit the entire 203-foot-wide Spaceship Earth sphere inside it and still have enough room to drive a Disney bus around the perimeter. 🌐

Back in 2005, the History Channel had a show called Modern Marvels. And in one episode they featured Disney World. In this clip, Imagineer Mark Sumner shows how they came up with the ride vehicles for Soarin’. I know it’s been around for decades now, but when that attraction first opened, it was amazing what they did with that ride.
