We’re committed to championing writing for pleasure in a digital-first world.

Last year, Rob the EYFS lead at Garlinge Primary School, Margate joined our Talk Through Stories CPD with @NickRMT . Today we observed the most wonderful, vocabulary rich story time that we have ever seen! The children were enthralled.

People sometimes say kids don't read any more. But I'm always amazed by the excitement you see on author visits, especially #WorldBookDay. Give kids free choice of what to read, let them follow their excitement wherever it leads - and THEY STILL LOVE BOOKS!

Well-meaning adults can easily crush a child's enthusiasm for reading by dismissing their choices, saying a book is no good. By all means introduce them to books you think are good - but let them READ FOR PLEASURE & they'll be readers forever! #literacy
