Yesterday, I graduated from Indiana University.
This institution helped me find my voice in sports media, introduced me to some great people and taught me valuable lessons along the way.

NEWS: Big Ten officials are expected to discuss in the upcoming days a league-wide mandate to not play Texas Tech in any sports, per three Big Ten sources. This is in the wake of Nebraska AD Troy Dannen informing his staff today that they aren't allowed to schedule Texas Tech.

I said last week. Sorsby was just granted an injunction, so he’ll play this year.

Tonight, Alex Bregman went 0-5 with a groundout, popout, lineout, flyout, and a strikeout.
He’s slashing .243/.323/.338 with 5 HR and 19 RBI while leading the league with 144 runners left on base.
Poor early returns on a $175 million investment. Ugh.

He has a .178 AVG (13-73) and a .429 OPS with RISP this season. 19 K/4 BB. “God awful” is an understatement.
I know it’s a long season. We’ve got just under 100 games left.
I’m tired of mediocrity. Top-down changes have to be made if the team can’t find consistent rhythm.

Baseball is one of the only sports left that still has that “college” feel to it.
Regionals and Supers have delivered yet again. Even as a neutral viewer, the postseason is always so gripping.

In baseball, the Sun Belt is more of a power conference than the Big Ten is. By and large, Big Ten baseball is a joke.
I don’t want to imagine where the league would be if not for the latest wave of realignment.
