🎵 What's On Your Turntable Today? 🎵
Today's pick is Fleetwood Mac's Mirage.
I've been looking for this album on vinyl for years, but every time I came across it, the price was usually around $25 or more. A few days ago I found a clean copy for just $8, so it came home with me immediately. Total score.
Released in 1982, Mirage was Fleetwood Mac's return to a more radio-friendly sound after the experimental Tusk album. It gave us two of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, "Gypsy" and "Hold Me," along with several other great tracks that don't get nearly enough attention. "Hold Me" became one of the band's biggest hits of the 1980s, while "Gypsy" remains one of Stevie Nicks' most iconic songs.
This is one of those records that reminds me why I still love digging through record stores. Sometimes the hunt is just as much fun as the music.
