Greenfield Knights (NC) knocked off the Highland Hawks (VA) 57-54 in a @JohnWallHoliday final 4 overtime thriller.
Senior guard Kobe Edwards led all scorers with 28 points but none bigger than a three pointer he had in overtime as the buzzer sounded. Edwards had the same chance at the end of regulation but just couldn’t get the shot to fall as the game went to overtime. Despite battling through adversity after missing two free-throws and a costly turnover late in the overtime period, Edwards was able to persevere through and knock down one of the biggest shots of his career and get his John Wall Holiday Invitational moment. Helping Kobe Edwards was the sophomore duo of Johnny Winborne and Braxton Dubose who scored 14 and 10 points respectively.

Let me take a moment to tell y’all how proud I am of these two young men. Going into this season, they had the same mission but different paths to get there. One thing I can always count on is that the moment is never too big for either of them. To be able to push through adversity and find a way speaks to how they’re wired. Leading your teams to state titles (& being nationally ranked)is something they can never take from either of you, no matter how hard they try. The beauty in all of this is that they’re just getting started. Stay tuned 😉
