AROUND 70% OF MELANOMA ARE ‘SUPERFICIAL SPREADING MELANOMA’ AND FOLLOW THE ABCDE RULE. Superficial spreading melanoma’s the most common form of melanoma arising from a seemingly normal or healthy pre-existing mole or freckle. However, the majority around 70% appear as a new mole!
