So you only want to hear what you’re trying to push. Not the truth. Does it not bother you at all that your aversion to the truth keeps you from dealing effectively with reality? The people who could do you the most good are the ones who have been telling you the truth all along, even though you don’t want to talk to people who tell the truth.

The cost of code is coming down, so we will consume more of it. The productivity of coders is going up, so they will become more valuable. Coding now includes training and driving models.

I would say there is no such thing as "universal" intelligence but there is definitely such a thing as "general" intelligence, and as a collective, we have it. "Science", modeled as an intelligent system (primarily powered by human intelligence) can solve any solvable problem in our universe, given appropriate resources.

Yann LeCun says there is no such thing as general intelligence Human intelligence is super-specialized for the physical world, and our feeling of generality is an illusion We only seem general because we can't imagine the problems we're blind to "the concept is complete BS"

Yes, but you are critiquing the guy who got a nobel for solving protein folding and publicly releasing 200 million protein structures. So maybe he's done his bit.

I am sooo happy and excited to be alive and aware in this era of "General AI Emergence"; the era just before AGI(Artificial General Intelligence). Happiness and excitement is due to seeing the positive future of the world and the crazy applications of AI everywhere. This is crazy power with a lot of crazy possibilities. It almost feels magical and a lot of fun. I hope this timeline goes mainly positive. People like Illya Sutskever and Demis Hasabis give me a lot of hope ❤️

AI informing development of games and media is the future. No amount of downvotes, likes, or social media posts is going to change that The only reason AI is seen negatively online is that artists and media have manufactured false consensus that it's bad to protect their jobs
