As creatives we should empower other creatives to be confident in who they are and what they create... #BECRTV

If the next debate doesn't have Tiger Woods moderating while Joe and Trump tee off... I'm not watching.

I was reminded of something today… and that is this: Your talent makes room for you if you make room for your talent. Invest in yourself.

I wish I could get news updates on Threads… instead here I am.

If you want to avoid the awkward silence that comes after you name your price… Here’s what I want you to do: ✨make your website sell for you ✨ Take your services, bundle them into packages, and list out three pricing options. This is called productizing your services. It helps eliminate the back and forth that comes with quoting a price to clients.

The unfettered growth mentality of late-stage capitalism drains so many founders and entrepreneurs dry. Too many think that you have to see 50% growth year-over-year — that being a multi-millionaire = true business success. I’ve seen this chase make too many people miserable. A more peaceful solution is finding what you need to live a comfortable lifestyle, pay your team well, and strive to reach that number.

People are afraid to use social media because it feels like talking into a void… trust me, the scary part is when the void talks back.

Many people want to stand out online, and you can do this by being strategic about your comments. What a lot of people do is add a comment that is “of value.” So… they write their version of what was posted in the comment section.

This is frustrating because the conversation stops there. You’re just repeating what was already said. As someone who creates content, I ignore these commenters. The better way to be strategic about your comments is to complement the original post, give feedback on what spoke to you, and ask a question.

Doing this honors the original creator’s work, and makes it more likely that they’ll interact with you

Over the next month, I’m going to buy a blue check for Threads, Twitter, and LinkedIn. My goal is to research which platform offers the most ROI on their blue check. This means I’m going to start posting on each platform daily. What are some questions you want answered about having a blue check?

I see a lot of new creatives think like this: “I need a new client.” The problem is they don’t know what type of client that is, what they’ll need, or where to get them. They’re just hoping a client will show up.

Don’t wait for clients to show up. Go to them. Start thinking about specific people and companies you want to work for and what they might need from you. Take it a step further and create a pitch deck with your creative solutions and try to land a meeting with those clients.

The idea that Apple will buy Disney is an interesting one…. However, my ideal $DIS would be shrinking the company by selling off assets and focusing on innovating faster. Disney should be a smaller company with the ability to pivot quickly. Not a massive conglomerate.

Bob Iger is really proving Harvey Dent right… you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

Should I be posting on Threads?

I posted on Threads to find my Thread posted on Twitter. This is the most thread thing to ever happen.
Interesting point @NikGoodner 👏🏾

The prospect of AI replacing creatives poses a deeper question: Do we value artists or what artists can do for us? If it’s the latter, AI will replace all of us. If we truly value the artist, AI will never be able to replace any of us. Love the art and the artist.
