Sudanese refugees in the bush of northern Ethiopia are on their 5th* day of hunger strike, demanding evacuation after escaping the violent conditions in Olala Refugee Camp (on May 1st). To this day, no one has given their plight the attention it deserves. #KeepEyesOnSudan

what does it mean for us, the people funding this violence, to ‘be safe’ when our 'safety' is protected by the piling bodies of our people. when will we realize that between this world as it exists and liberation, we will need to sacrifice something. you will need to sacrifice something.

I think it's precisely the lack of context that makes this image politically safe for liberals to signal their "concern" for Gaza. Palestine is not named. Zionism is not named. It conveys urgency and awareness without naming the historical actors that have produced this genocide.

Babies felt their skin melt off before asphyxiating, yet US media asks about how Zionists feel. This isnt about @NewsHour but about the pervasive racial logic that devalues Palestinian life. #Gaza #Genocide #Nakba #Zionism #Rafah #Palestinian #Liberation

I don't tweet much about Palestine in my own words and mostly retweet because what is there left to say. I have nothing that Palestinians have not already said 100 times over.

newspapers, including my former employer, recently sent out emails to staff warning them not to say anything online about what’s happening in Palestine. the forced silence of supposed truth tellers is violence. neutrality right now is violence.

The flour massacre, the tents massacre, the hospital massacre, the refugee camp massacre, the ‘safe corridor’ massacre, the endless massacres, in homes, on the streets, in tents, on foot— eight months of massacre after massacre after massacre.

I am trying to pull on anger but I am grief stricken. My stomach turns when I try to speak. How do I explain that burning children alive in tents is bad? Who does not know that? What is this system we’ve built that has normalized advanced tech barbarism & dares to lecture us?

A fledgling nonprofit coalition called the People’s Community Land Trust told tenants living at a small apartment building in the English Avenue community that it had purchased the property and would be lowering rent prices. #gapol Learn more: atlantaciviccircle.org/2024/…
