when i practice w/o recording, i find that my something close to like 80% to 85 accuracy tempo-wise which is okay when i practice a single section, but that like 15%-ish is so important when recording the entire song

in other words, i've decided to stop practicing without recording anytime im practicing like a proper song
i want to be a guitarist that is on-tempo, not 85% close enough

Been thinking about what the highest tempo I wanna play as my final goal. Like, I don't really have any interest in being able to shred (though it would be kinda fun).
for now, being able to be comfortable at 120 - 130 bpm 16th notes while maintaining good rhythm is best

I was a little worried when i found all those mistakes yesterday but i made the adjustments surprisingly fast. I should be able to post the video this weekend. Maybe the follow weekend at the latest

Today was good practice, found a fair amount of mistakes i hadn't noticed before. I keep tensing my right hand too much which is ruining the pick dynamics because im nervous when its recording. If i really want the perfect take, im gonna have try to relax my hand while recording

one thing that i woulda never expected until i tried making cover videos is how imperfect the studio recording version of songs are lol a lot of times they have very very slight tempo changes that add up over time

i kept making mistakes because i was too used to the tutorial version which is mechanically too perfect so i kept missing the timing
