I'm saddened to learn of the passing of SJRFD F/L (and President of Local 1075) Jim O'Toole. His leadership and courage in battling cancer and in advocating for better protection for firefighters nationwide was remarkable.
Condolences to his family, friends, and SJRFD family.

A home on Woodbridge Lane in Torbay was completely destroyed by fire on Sunday evening. While no residents were injured, a firefighter was treated by paramedics. It's unknown if they were taken to hospital.
