Honest Question: What makes the persons who wrote the Bible infallible (i.e., Paul, Peter, Matthew, Moses, etc.)? Why are they infallible and not, let’s say, Polycarp who was a disciple to the evangelist John? More importantly, what determines infallibility?

I never thought I'd be getting attacked for saying I follow the Bible alone.. and by other Christians at that

Orthodoxy offers a therapeutic regiment, the source of which is Christ himself.

In one sentence, plainly state what you believe the goal of Christianity is and how a person achieves that goal?

Truth is not rational but experiential. People like this would have crucified Christ with the Pharisees saying, “it is expedient that one man should suffer.” We worship what we know in spirit and in truth but they worship what they do not know b/c they refused to love the truth

I ran the internal critiques on my views. These guys are raging because I've read the Apostolic Fathers and it only made me more protestant lol. didn't see their modern dogmas in the writings of Clement, Ignatius or Polycarp. that drives them nuts. they're incapable of owning their doctrinal development.

LORD forgive him for he knows not what he does. Forgive all those who erroneously attack the Orthodox Church. Have mercy on them and manifest yourself to them as you once did to Saul on the road to Damascus. Shine your everlasting light on the darkness of their nous. Amen.
Those who add water baptism as an extra requirement to “really” be a Christian, are making the same ERROR the Galatians were. Adding 1 good act of obedience as part of being saved = Christ won’t save you (Gal. 5:2) Whether it be circumcision, baptism or sharing the gospel.

One way to discern God's will: When you have two options, make a decision. Ask God to bless the decision and for His will to be done. One of two things will happen: 1) insurmountable obstacles will present themselves -- seek guidance to discern or 2) the path will remain clear

Our life is not determined by the gravity of our sins, but by the depth of our repentance.

I’m looking forward to presenting and speaking with Fr. Andrew on this topic. May it be blessed.

Listen to the life of St. Basil the Great or any contemporary elder on @PatristicNectar and you will clearly see the difference between true men of God and this baloney. If only we could silence our detractors with the witness of our own life.
Online Conference hosted on “Revealed Apologetics” coming soon. Dates & Times to be announced 👊

The gospel is watered down with words like “nice.” It wasn’t nice when God expelled Adam from Paradise. That’s was God’s love. It wasn’t nice when God brought the flood. It wasn’t nice when Christ whipped the merchants. God is not nice, He is loving, merciful, and just.

“Nicer” is not a measure of holiness. A heart transformed is not about being nice, it’s about being holy. And you can’t fit “holy” into a “nice” model of Christianity.

Met. Saba spoke beautifully about the future of true American Orthodoxy born from true Americans, not immigrants. Reflecting on this, it brings me joy at the prospect but sadness that I won’t see it in my lifetime. I’m only called to sow of what others shall reap.

To be clear, I don’t believe the alien hype. Theoretically speaking, the“Bible-changing” issue is that God became man. He took on human nature. He glorified human nature. Assuming aliens are rational, where would they fall in the plan of salvation? How are they saved?
I'm a lot more open to the possibility of aliens than many people here, but the idea that anything related to aliens or UFOs could have "Bible-changing" implications is totally ridiculous. There is no reason why it should shake anyone's faith to find out that God created other lifeforms on other planets out there in the vast cosmos. There are like a hundred billion galaxies. My faith does not demand that I assume they're all completely empty.
