Among those recognised was Mr Oscar Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa. Oskido is awarded the Order of Ikhamanga for a lifetime of creativity, mentorship and genre‑shaping artistry. From pioneering kwaito to driving house, afro‑house and opening doors to amapiano, he’s shaped generations. It’s my privilege to sit with him and hear the story behind the legacy.
