Our next talk features Dr Michael Zambon, who has been undertaking research with UHI Archaeology Institute, into the Conan Stone. The Conan Stone is a Pictish cross-slab found by members of NOSAS in 2019. This talk is in Inverness on Thursday 19th March is open to non-members.

We have just completed a week of fantastic archaeology, digging the Loch Achilty crannog with the Nautical Archaeology Society. We opened 3 trenches and found probable structural oak timbers in all of them. Trenches are now backfilled and samples await analysis.
