For a lot of us, "she/they" is the "sorry for being a girl" pronouns and for this reason I strongly urge as many people, even if they sincerely like them, to simply say she/her. They will "them" you anyway without your say-so.
juniper's family was not "affirming her secondary pronouns." i am not stupid. i want that to be clear. when you refer to a trans woman as "they" over and over, you are degendering her. this is not an affirmation of a secondary pronoun if she goes by she/they
