For a lot of us, "she/they" is the "sorry for being a girl" pronouns and for this reason I strongly urge as many people, even if they sincerely like them, to simply say she/her. They will "them" you anyway without your say-so.

Have been increasingly thinking this about The Bug Collector. I love a huge portion of Haley Heynderickx’s music, but good god The Bug Collector is brilliant. I do have lots of love for her underdogs too tho, Fish Eyes is one of her best songs

Last time I renewed my library card the librarian asked if my information was the same, and I said “yeah but can I add a preferred name” and they looked at me and emphatically said “your preferred name *is* your name”
It was so sweet
when i got my library card the man told me he couldn’t change the name on it to my chosen name
but today when i was getting a new card the woman told me “i noticed you have a different name for your email, i can change the name on your account if you want”

This happened to me! Mine didn’t take any blood levels and said the result “wouldn’t make a difference” to her plan of care. I eventually went around her and got tested at her maximum dose and my E was well below even the conservative WPATH guidelines.
Maybe it’s me but I tend to have more faith in my medical providers that they’re doing what’s best for me, do you have any evidence pointing to them purposefully giving people low doses?

Also she didn’t consider that spiro was developed as a blood pressure drug when she prescribed it to me (already on another BP drug) and it made my BP horribly low for a couple months before I fixed it myself

My doctors now are better but they still are skeptical about me using a shorter dosing schedule even though the half life of EV is 3.5 days. They and I both want my levels to be more stable but they somehow can’t do the algebra and see that this achieves that

My absolute nuclear take on equal partnership is that bills should be split based on income after tax.
If I make 60k and she makes 30k then i pay 2/3rds.
Splitting 50/50 on massively unequal incomes is bullshit imo. Borderline financial abuse
