ALT Until the LGBTQ community feel safe and welcome on this platform, NottsLGBT Network is pausing all activity as a protest and in solidarity.
We will now be posting on Bluesky: @nottslgbt.bsky.social
We are also on Facebook and Instagram if you prefer to get our updates from these platforms.
Thank you
Some of our volunteers recently visited @nottspolice HQ to meet the Hate Crime Team. We’ll continue to liaise with the Police and highlight the issues our community faces, both online and in person. 🏳️🌈

With just days to go until @NottsPride 2024, we decided to ask our volunteers what Pride means to them.

On Insta and Facebook, we are doing a story telling series for LGBT History Month. Here is a sneak peak of the series from David, who founded the Network back in the 70’s and is still volunteering here now! #lgbthistorymonth#lgbt#lgbtqia#lgbthistorymonth
Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. This is a time to come together and remember all those affected by the Holocaust. 6 million Jews and millions of other people were sadly murdered under Nazi persecution.
Although exact numbers are unknown, it is estimated that around 100,000 men were arrested in Nazi Germany as ‘homosexuals’ between 1933 and 1945. Between 5,000 and 15,000 were sent to concentration camps.
