The best part of delivering local groceries to your door is sharing in your joy of food. Our friend Sudip made gorgeous ramen and fresh strapponi with chicken of the woods mushrooms that we delivered, foraged by Tom of Villa Fungi. Next week he has pecan truffles for us!

Give a gift. We make fermented hot sauces with chiles and beer from our friends and neighbors, for your friends and neighbors. Share a bear! A lot goes into a little chili bear 🐻🌶💚

Gabriel makes intricate small-batch pastas in Virginia as Foggy Mountain Pasta. This is the Summer Winter Creste di Galli, the best of both worlds — delicate but with good bite. We met him a long time ago at markets and are glad to offer his pastas for home delivery.

Fresh flowers always brighten up the loading dock 💐 check out these beauties from Wollam Gardens and Path Valley — plenty more next week!

San Giovanni's farm is run by Philip and his family. We've known them for years from the Old Town market — Number 1 Mom is a number 1 fan. They're certified organic and they grow gorgeous microgreens (and the containers are 100% compostable). Find them at number1sons.com
Pattern appreciation post. We’ll have more watermelon kombucha at markets this weekend, by the way 🍉🥰

Hey pickle friends — we are unable to attend the Ballston, Riverdale and Penn Quarter markets today. Let us know if we can help you find your closest market we’ll be at this Saturday or Sunday! 🥒
Have you seen Path Valley’s veggie boxes? They’re always a rainbow of seasonal produce. Path Valley Co-op is a group of small Amish family farms in Franklin County, PA, that’s a bit of a secret among DC chefs 😉 Boxes available for home delivery through number1sons.com ☺️

Luca got some more sugar cube melons for us (for you!) at the Mt. Vernon market today. This one is a bébé
