We already have the kids who don’t care to play on their high school teams, they just want to play “Select Ball” In 10 years we will start seeing the kids who just want to play 1 on 1. We’re so doomed it’s sickening

We’re so behind in American basketball we’ve resorted to 1 on 1 content games. FOH

Are the European and overseas players promoting these BS 1-on-1 money games? Or are they still focused on team concepts, spacing, movement, and actually learning how to play? Meanwhile over here, we just need CONTENT 🤣🤦🏾‍♂️

Who’s building relationships with Division II and JUCO coaches for the players who didn’t get “noticed” at that circuit event? Or is the plan just: “We played on the circuit. Hope somebody saw you.” This is definitely the plan 👆🏽🤣🤦🏾‍♂️ Exposure without advocacy is lazy.

Because let’s be honest… A college coach might come to see your team and like your 6’7” forward.
That doesn’t mean he wants your 5’10” guard. So who’s advocating for that guard? Who’s reaching out to NAIA schools?
Who’s contacting Division III programs?

Serious question for the “circuit” guys… How many of you are actually emailing SPECIFIC college coaches about SPECIFIC players? Not generic blasts. Not tagging 50 schools in a caption. Real emails. Real relationships. Real follow-up.

The game used to be about building players. Now it’s about building circuits and clout. Independent teams built dogs.
Now we’re building brands. If this makes you uncomfortable, good. The standard has dropped.

And if the ONLY way your kid gets seen is by attending that event… that’s not DEVELOPMENT. That’s dependency. Let’s talk about it: • How many of these programs have REAL game film? (Hudl style film) Not baseline angles made for mixtapes.

Let’s stop pretending. Second-tier circuits are selling a dream. Paying for a wristband is not exposure. Showing up to a “circuit stop” with 100 other teams fighting for attention is not a plan Continued…..

If you’re stressing yourself on whether you should join one of these 2nd tier circuits, save yourself the stress and headaches and just stay independent and go play in events where you will get seen by colleges at the level your players are. It’s ok to be real with yourself and your programs!

Casey Small, 6’0” soph PG Morton Ranch, was a dude yesterday against Cinco Ranch. In a tough loss, he scored 27 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals. He also hit 5 Threes in a workhorse effort. He’s definitely going to be a player to watch in the future. A dude….

A name that is showing great promise. @kwhite2028 Driving baseline poster. Attack with left hand and finishes through contact. Drive and kick for corner 3. Better add him to your class of 2028 board… #oneeyedscout @jayfrye @txfuturecircuit @CEKingBoysHoops oneeyedscout.com
