Another paper from super post-doc @SamWilken_ on DNA nanostars, quantifying the delay for droplet appearance after a quench. The dynamics are consistent with distinct nucleation and spinodal decomposition regimes, and we map the spinodal curve. More here:

Blob science:
While here I am known for DNA “blobs” (condensates), I also study polymer “blobs”, as in our recent paper on Pincus blobs in disordered proteins (in the EPJE Pincus Festschrift). Permit me a thread on the personal and scientific significance:

The personal significance is that this experimental Pincus-blob tool was critical to my career (read: tenure), and further was developed with Fyl as my colleague at UCSB; thus it was particularly meaningful to put this paper into the Pincus Festschrift!
