I know @HighStPrimary have enjoyed their #potionmaking week so far because I have seen the joy, awe, wonder & heard the squeals, laughter & splashes. THIS is why I am a huge advocate of taking subjects outside, any subject but especially #scienceoutdoors#stem#steam & by all
Incredibly lucky to have witnessed all of the amazing moments with the children - B finding his first ever toad, E realising that mud is a great thing, L for sharing her delightful knowledge with me, R for his inquisitiveness at all things nature related & H for a moment I will
Never forget when bird watching ๐๐ there are so many moments I can talk about, we learnt so much together, the children thrived in the new spaces I lovingly created & put my heart & soul into. I hope the children can build on what we all achieved in such a short space of time
Due to the damage caused by storm Arwen at the weekend the woodland is out of bounds until further notice. It is currently unsafe so please do not allow children to enter the woodland areas of school. I will update once made safe. Thanks Mrs Hill-Davis @HighStPrimary
@NursHiStPrimary loved testing out the hammocks this week. They showed respect for the hammocks & listened to my rules really well. They also demonstrated brilliant spotting of each other when tree climbing. #outdoorlearning

What did we learn in our @Y6HiStPrimary#outdoorlearning session this week? Knots! The children used some very basic lashing to make a nature frame, many struggled as knots & shoelaces are definitely an area to develop with our KS2 Iโve noticed. However, some showed resilience &
Persevered until they did it. Many of the results were lovely & all very creative & different. Itโs good to embrace difference, even if through a simple nature frame. Always learning something! ๐ @HighStPrimary
@Y4HiStPrimary made some beautiful leaf lanterns this afternoon. It was our 1st session since summer so they were also excited to go off exploring the woods with their friends after making them. They have taken them home, they just need a little battery operated tea light in them
Or a wax one as long as itโs central & in view of an adult as the bottle is plastic. It was great to be able to recycle milk bottles to make them. Lots of cutting, measuring & sticking practice too. Well done. @HighStPrimary
