Englandโs World Cup preparations have suffered an unexpected setback after several match boots and training items were reportedly stolen ahead of the teamโs first training session in Kansas City, USA.
The theft is said to have occurred while equipment was being transported from Englandโs pre-tournament base in Florida to their training camp at Swope Soccer Village, Missouri. Missing items reportedly include boots belonging to several England stars, official tournament balls, and other training gear.
Kansas City police have launched an investigation and confirmed that two suspects have been taken into custody.

Despite the incident, manager Thomas Tuchel and his squad are still scheduled to hold their first training session in Kansas City on Saturday. The Football Association has declined to comment publicly but is expected to work closely with local authorities to recover the stolen equipment.
The incident comes just days before Englandโs opening Group L clash against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, creating an unwelcome distraction for a side hoping to end a 60-year wait for major international silverware.
