Firefighters are working to extinguish approximately 387 hay bales that caught fire along Interstate 35. The driver hauling the flatbed trailer load of hay noticed smoke coming from the trailer while traveling northbound on I-35. The driver safely pulled onto the shoulder to

Firefighters responded to a vehicle crash near I-240/S Bryant this morning involving a semi-truck and a trash truck. Firefighters had to extricate one person from the trash truck following the collision.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The driver of the trash truck was transported to a local hospital after being extricated from the vehicle. The Oklahoma City Police Department was also on scene and is investigating the crash

Today we announce the retirement of K9 Queenie. Queenie has served the residents of Oklahoma City and the State of Oklahoma for nine years. Queenie and her handler, Lt. Cody Ashmore, have responded to many emergencies both here in Oklahoma and out of state. In recent years,

We are an all-hazards response agency, responding to a wide variety of emergency calls across the OKC Metro including stalled elevators. Recently, firefighters responded to a downtown OKC building after an elevator suddenly stopped between floors with one person trapped inside.

Although an elevator technician was already on scene, they were unable to get the elevator moving. Firefighters from Fire Station 6 secured the elevator and safely rescued the individual through the top hatch.
