Darrell Sorrels: A jail trust will not work. Give the next sheriff a chance to do the job. We need to automate and be transparent.
Mike Christian: I support a trust for oversight over the jail and deputies
Bret Macy: In addition to training, I will continue auditing and verfiying that we are doing our job.
Bret Macy: The current administration has failed to follow procedure, and as Sheriff will make sure they are trained to handle the inventory
Mike Christian: I have been a party activist, and helped fundraise for the county party. I want to see thefirst Republican Shieriff.
Bret Macy: All of our law enforcemnt need our support and I will always support any of our law enforcement that asks for my help.
Darrell Sorrells: You have to lead by example, and care about people.I care about our citizens and stop our oversepnding.
Mike Christian: I gave up a safe seat in the legislature in order to run this department.
Mike Christian: Over the last eight years I worked in the House, and as a former Highway Patrol Officer I have experience.
Bret Macy: have worked with all of metro police departments. I know how to lead and reform. I have a reputation to be a leader.
Mike Christian: We probably need a new jail; but the problem is gross mismanagement.
Bret Macy: 80% of the prisoners are waiting to go to trial. We need to use the programs available to manage the population and save costs
Darrell Sorrells: We need a new jail!
Darrell Sorrells: The county jail is the biggest problem. It has consturction issues.
